What is the difference between the different types of Users that are available with a Security and Logging license?

If you are considering the purchase of a Network license for FCS Express with Security and Logging features enabled to help meet 21 CFR Part 11 Compliance, you might be wondering what is the difference in the types of Users that are available with this license in order to purchase the appropriate number of Users for your needs.

Our 21 CFR Part 11 Compliance package references 3 types of users:

  • Security Users – this is the number of unique username and password combinations that can be used to access FCS Express.
  • Network Users – this is the maximum number of concurrent Security Users that can be logged in to FCS Express at any given time.
  • Logging Users – this enables the audit trail feature in FCS Express and will match the number of Network Users.
