How do I tell FCS Express what plate size to use if that information is not included in the data file?
Most data files contain the well identification from which they were acquired, but do not provide any information about the size of the plate used for acquisition.
FCS Express requires the plate size information in order to display the heat map of the correct size.
If the size of your plate is not included in the data file you will need to download the file below containing plate format templates.
Please click on the link below to download the Plate Template.zip file. The folder contains templates for 6, 12, 24, 48, 96, and 384 well plates.
After downloading, please extract the contents of the .zip file and place the appropriate plate template text file within the folder of you plate based data.
The next time you open your data in FCS Express, the template will be read and your data will be displayed in the format that you have defined.
