How can quadrants be linked?

Please note: the following content is relevant to versions of FCS Express 7.24.0024 and later.

Two or more existing sets of quadrants can be linked together through one of the following methods:

Method One

  • Click on the quadrant centre point on the plot that has one of the quadrants that you would like to link.
  • Open the plot's formatting window if it is not already open.
  • Select Selected Gate or Quadrant Properties category in the plot's formatting window.
  • Under the Linked Quadrants section, click Link.
  • The Add Quad to Quad Links window will open. You can select the quadrant that you want to link either by selecting the relevant plot from a list, or by selecting a quad set from the tree.
  • The quadrants are now linked.

Method Two

  • In the Gate Navigator, select two existing quadrants that are on the same level of the hierarchy. This can be done by holding the ctrl or cmd button on your keyboard while clicking on the quadrant sets.
  • Right-click and select Link Selected Gates.

  • The quadrants are now linked. You can drag and drop one of the quadrants to a different location in the gating hierarchy.
  • Right-click on the plot where you want to view the quadrant gate and select Quadrant>Quadrant name.
