Why am I seeing a warning message when loading my Cytek data onto a layout object?

  • There is a user option in the Cytek Instrument Specific Settings called Cytek File Merge Rule shown in the screenshot below.

  • Previously, the default behavior was to only load the selected file (Raw or Unmixed).
  • Now (in 7.24.0024 and later) the default behavior is to automatically load both the raw and unmixed data when any Cytek file is loaded.
    • This is helpful for several reasons:
      • An unmixed file can be viewed on a Spectrum plot.
      • The user will have access to the raw parameters when analyzing an unmixed data file.
  • If the data files are removed from the original folder structure that was exported from the Cytek instrument, then FCS Express cannot find the Raw or Unmixed counterpart.
    • When FCS Express cannot find the counterpart file, it shows the warning message and just loads the file(s) that you chose to load in.
