This User Option is unchecked.

When new quadrants are added to a plot, they are assigned to the hierarchy as children of the root gate (e.g. "No Gate").

This can be visualized if we choose to display the quadrants in the Gate View or Gate Navigator. In the example below, new quadrants were drawn on the right plot. The quadrant gates were assigned to the hierarchy as children of No Gate.

The displayed percentage on the plot is simply the percentage out of all events displayed on the plot. All 4 quadrant percentages add up to 100%.

If opening a layout that was last saved in a version earlier than 7.20.0020, any existing quadrants will be converted to Gates. Those quadrants are assigned to the hierarchy as children of the root gate (e.g. "No Gate"). This can be visualized if the quadrants are shown in the Gate View or Gate Navigator.

This User Option is unchecked.

Quadrants will not appear in new Gate Views or Gate Navigators.

If opening a layout that was last saved in a version earlier than 7.20.0020, any existing quadrants will be converted to Gates, but they will not appear in new or existing Gate Views or Gate Navigators.

Quadrant gates are defined on two parameters. If quadrants are being shown on a 2D plot and an axis parameter gets changed, the quadrants get redefined on the new X and Y axis parameters. The quadrants will remain visible on the plot.

In the example below, the quadrants were initially defined on CD3 and CD4 parameters (shown in the Gate Navigator on the left). The X axis was changed from CD3 to CD16. The quadrants are now defined on CD16 and CD4 (shown in the Gate Navigator on the left). The quadrants are still visible on the plot.

Quadrant Set and Quadrant Gate names will automatically update accordingly, unless any of their names had been previously customized.

The selected User Option in both sections is: Don't show prompt

When quadrants are added to a plot, the prompt window (shown below) will not appear.

If existing quadrants were selected when clicking the Gating tab > Quadrants button, those quadrants will be replaced.

If existing quadrants were not selected when clicking the Gating tab > Quadrants button, a new set of quadrant gates will be created.
