When preparing for a publication or poster, you will often need to transfer a high-resolution image of a single plot into a document. For example, if you are writing a paper the publishers may call for a 300 DPI image, or when writing a report about your experiment in Microsoft™ Word, you may want to insert a diagram showing your analysis.

FCS Express makes this easy to do by providing the highest quality, publication-ready graphics that can be accessed by directly exporting to PowerPoint, directly Exporting to Word, Saving a plot or page as a high res image, or by simply using our Copy As Picture function.

With many options for directly exporting images you will likely never need to copy and paste ever again.

Transferring to Microsoft PowerPoint

With FCS Express, you can drag plots directly into Powerpoint (and many other Windows software programs). Simply select the plot in FCS Express and drag it into Powerpoint. The image of the plot will appear in Powerpoint in the graphics format and resolution that you have defined.

Export Single Pages or Entire Layouts as a Powerpoint Presentation

In addition to transferring single plots, with FCS Express you can transfer your entire layout to a Powerpoint presentation with the Export As PowerPoint Presentation button. Export one or multiple pages to PowerPoint at the click of a button!

You can use the extensive layout features inside FCS Express to display your data and statistics exactly the way you want them presented. Then, you can automatically convert your layout file into a presentation. All of your data, statistics, text notes, heading, and background designs will be converted.

You can even move and resize plots and tables on the slide, as they're exported as individual objects

All the exported graphic objects are high-resolution, individual graphics in Powerpoint. They can be moved, ungrouped, resized and manipulated in any way, independent of the other exported graphics. Check out our manual for detailed instructions on Exporting a Layout as a Powerpoint Presentation.

Export to Powerpoint with Batch Processing

Saving as Image Files

Multiple images can be selected and saved as a single image by right clicking and choosing save as picture.

Choose what you want the export format to be: JPEG, Bitmap, Metafile, GIF, PNG, or TIF. You can also decide what quality you want the picture to be, by changing the resolution and the JPEG quality setting.

Transferring to Microsoft Word

Let's say that we want to paste the plot below into a Word document.

Simply click on the plot, and select Copy 1D Plot from the Home-Clipboard menu.
Alternatively, right click on the plot and select Copy 1D Plot from the dropdown menu.

Switch to your word processor or graphics application where you want to place the image, and Paste it in.

Below is the resulting Word document, after pasting in the plot.
